Password is an identity of a user. Passwords are being used since ancient times to give access to authorized people at certain places or so. In days of computing, we need a username and password for log in process to access our account and its activities. Setting a password is getting tricky and more tricky each day. Use a symbol, have character,  use numbers, spaces, uppercase, lowercase, 8 digits, 18 digits and what not? Still it says, "Not strong enough!"

Why do we need a strong password?

Your passwords are highly valuable. They protect your emails, personal work, bank accounts, credit cards and more. And there is nothing such as safe in internet world. It is only safer than or less safe. There is fair enough probability that your password is known. You might be thinking, "But that's okay, What would he get? I'm not rich or famous." Yes, of course. Neither am I, lol! Keeping that in mind, we should not make it difficult for the cyber criminals to crack our password. If access to your account can give them a smile, you should go for it. So here are a few ways to not keep your password safe.

1.  Allow a web browser to remember your password

I guess this is already done. After all, who wants to type the password each time it is requested. Browser have cookies to store them. And why would you waste time entering those 18 complex digits again and again. For every Sign up you make, allow the browser to save the password. And for every website you visit which has the pop-up coming "we use cookies", allow them access! Otherwise what will be the point of saving password?

2. Say no to 2 Factor Authentication

Two-Factor or Multi-Factor Authentication is a method that adds a second layer of security to your account. It includes a PIN, security token or biometric like fingerprint or face which is just another useless activity to add in your Log in routine. Why would someone else try to log in as me when my social profile is as dumb as it can be! No no, we don't need such multi layer protection for the account.

3. Reuse your password

Let's agree we have all been doing this. Don't create new passwords for new account on another platform. Just have a password that you can remember and use it across every site you visit. It is not an easy task to keep a record of different passwords for different sites. You have other more relevant things to think back to. Don't let your password be one of them.

4. Use common phrases

Must have dictionary words that you can call back, like password. Or use phrases that are no sweat to recollect, say myfbpasswd, ihateyou or so. Easy-to-remember phrases are easy-to-hack. And when you have noting to lose why fear. The person trying hard on other accounts would feel like a king cracking your password. Once in a while, you should give others an understanding of appreciation.

5. Make use of Password Managers

A password manager is an application that helps maintain your passwords on different sites. Basically, keeping all the eggs in one basket. I was wondering whether it should or shouldn't be in the list. But I was convinced soon enough. Imagine you found a key which has keys to all. What a bounty it would be! This must be in the series. You can get different password managers openly available online. Bring them into play.

When your password is anyways going to be revealed, why keep them scratching their head. Here follows a list of passwords for you to choose from:
  • password
  • 123456789 / 987654321 / 1223334444...
